This cake is called 4-Hour Cake because I produced it in four hours. Having never shopped, baked, frosted, decorated and delivered a cake in four hours I didn't know it could be done!
I flew in from Dublin, Ireland on a Wednesday afternoon and was home by 6pm. On Thursday morning at 8am I was reminded of a cake order that was needed for that day! I made a list, was at Trader Joes by 8:22 and left at 8:31. I checked my parking ticket for that information. I delivered the cake by noon, a miracle!
Thankfully there was no experimentation here. I used tried and true peanut butter cake, chocolate frosting, and chocolate ganache recipes. Decorated a little using mini-peanut butter cups from Trader Joes on the sides and on top.
