A Stud and a Dud - Hand Mixer and Mini-Cheesecake Pan

KitchenAid Hand Mixer

Really this should have been my first stud.  It's gotten more use than any kitchen appliance I've ever known.  It has survived recipes the directions clearly told me I should not attempt with a hand mixer. It's extremely versatile. If you only bake a few times a year, it's a worthwhile investment.

My favorite thing about my hand mixer is that it was a Christmas gift from my best friend after I'd been baking for a couple of months. After about a month of baking with mixer I was singing A Whole New World from Aladdin. Okay, on the inside. It is a really good gift.  Five years later, I use it all the time.

My dud is not a complete Dud.  I did use it three times and I THINK about using it again all the time. I pin recipes that require it, I think about different things I could do with it but I don't actually do any of those things.  I'm not willing to part with it yet. I'm convinced that one day I will use it again. Something you should learn from the Duds is if the tag says you can only make one thing, don't buy it.
